    Ladies' Night bans

    [edit]

That's interesting. I hadn't heard about any bans, though I can see the logic behind them. Where are some places in the U.S. that ban those? Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:18, 1 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Read 'em and weep (if you're a lady, or you were hoping to meet ladies this way): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladies%27_night#Legality_in_the_United_States White 720 (talk) 05:20, 1 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the link. I actually support the bans on the basis that ladies' nights are discriminatory; I just hadn't heard of them. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:58, 1 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
No problem! I also edited that section to mention that in some areas, happy hours are also restricted or banned. In WA, for example, you can discount drinks by 50%, but you can’t offer “2 for 1” specials, because that induces people to drink twice as much. White 720 (talk) 06:16, 1 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Interesting. I guess they're trying to discourage drunkenness. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:13, 1 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
