Republic is a small city in the Rocky Mountain foothills of northeast Washington State. It is the county seat of Ferry County.

- 3 Ranald MacDonald's Grave, Customs Rd (18 mi (29 km) northwest of Curlew Lake State Park). Ranald MacDonald was the first person to teach English in Japan. He has monuments to him in Japan.
