Moi! I'm a Wikivoyager based in the Eastern Netherlands, who is more interested in travelling the world within reach than far-flung places. You are therefore most likely to find me editing articles for places within a day's drive from home. My main world is that of archaeology, though I specialise in built heritage more than excavation. Ideally, through it, I hope to reach some sort of line of work that serves to promote local history. For now, I am mostly focussed on a thesis on watermills, specifically the many of which that existed on the Veluwe. Previously, I have been responsible for organising RINT, and can claim credit for some 3.59% of all pagebanners. Other than that, I've been the main proponent of some of the articles highlighted in the sidebar.

Outside of this place and work, I dabble in such things as photography - Some of which makes it onto Commons, and work on maintaining and expanding upon a collection of music records that I've been building since 2018. • Like most, I started editing what I know best, my hometown Doetinchem.
• A lot of the articles for Luxembourg have been created by me around '16/'17. I started articles for the subregions, Mersch, Land of the Red Rocks, Grevenmacher, Mondorf, Beaufort and Consdorf.
• Rail-interchange, "RINT" to friends, is a project I took the initiative for, that also saw me adapt {{RbE}} for its current use.
• In 2017 I created and since have expanded upon and maintained Rail travel in the Netherlands, which is a strong contender for what I'd call my favourite contribution.
• I spent a lot of time covering many (predominantly) European articles with banner images, but haven't made many for a few years now.
• My inability to see some things through to the end mean that I have a few published static maps, and a whole bunch of ones I never finished or published.
• Belgian coast by tram is another one of my favourite contributions. Considered it for a long time, and eventually started it after an article request. Made in August '22, guide'ed in September '22, starred on June fifth, a month before being featured as FTT.

Destinations and Travel Topics

• Mölndal – Industrial town south of Gothenburg, with many (former) watermills along a waterfall.
• Rail travel in Belgium – What it says on the tin (probably including Luxembourg as well?). Belgian trains for as far as my experience with them go, are decent and a good way to get where you're going ...though anything beats the ring of Antwerp.
• Guide-ifying Dutch cities - Most prominently Rotterdam, The Hague, Alkmaar, Maastricht, Delft, Nijmegen, Leeuwarden.
• National parks - Adding more information and articles for large National Parks and other landscape-based regions the likes of the Meinweg NP, Maasduinen NP, Gelderse Poort NP
• Small cities - The likes of small cities Thorn, Ravenstein, Heusden, Woudrichem &c.
• Overlooked east - Eastern destinations that've been overlooked such as Hardenberg, Oldenzaal, Steenwijk &c.
• Off the beaten path - Small destinations that seem promising for tourism: Schin op Geul, Itteren, Elspeet, Hellendoorn, Havelte, Borger.
• Subdividing regions - Overijssel into Kop van Overijssel, Salland and Twente; Drenthe into Westerveld en Wolden, Drents Platteau and Hondsrug; Limburg into Noord, Midden, Oostelijke- and Westelijke Mijnstreek.
• Reinstating regions – In specific the Rijnmond and Haaglanden regions, which have been merged into the Metropoolregio, which is far too unwieldy.

History and curiosities

• Atlantikwall – Defensive system of over 5,000 kilometres (3,100 mi) spanning the coasts of Northern Norway all the way to the south of France, built to defend the Third Reich.
• Batavian Repubic and the Kingdom of Holland – Republic and subsequent monarchy set up by the Bonapartes consisting of the modern-day Netherlands, plus and minus some bits.
• Dutch Revolt – Spurred on by high taxation, loss of privileges and many more woes, the Dutch Revolt had an irreversible effect on all of Europe, and resulted in the creation of the first successful major post-Mediaeval republic.
• Grands Traveaux Inutiles – The Great Useless Works of the BeNeLux. Especially Belgian politics of the second half of the 20th century led to some questionable investments in public infrastructure. This is a list of them.
• Mills of the Netherlands – Many of them, as well as the profession of miller, are UNESCO-listed, so this classifies on those grounds. Besides, my master thesis is on Dutch watermills, so if anyone's going to write it, it'd be me.
