Welcome

[edit]

Hello Adimora chidinma! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you are a Wikipedian, then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:

It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the Wikivoyage:Travellers' pub, as a reply below or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!

Thanks for creating Uga! I made a few copyedits and formatting fixes to that article – please do give WV:CAPS and WV:TDF a read and keep that in mind for future articles. :)

Copying from Wikipedia

[edit]

One article you created has been deleted (see Talk:Omasi) because it was a copyright violation, using text from WP without providing the attribution their license requires. This is forbidden here & actually technically illegal.

If you did that in other articles, please fix them. This might mean providing attribution (add Template:Wikipedia at the top of the talk page) or rewriting or deleting.

See Wikivoyage:Tips for new contributors#Contributing information & pages it links to for the relevant policies. Pashley (talk) 05:21, 17 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Locating new articles

[edit]

Adimora chidinma, when you create a new article, it is important to link it to the correct region. It is not enough to say that a place is in Nigeria or South East Nigeria.

  1. You must link the correct state in the first paragraph of the article.
  2. You must put the correct state in the {{IsPartOf|}} template at the bottom of the article.
  3. You must create a link to the article in the state article. You can see how I did this for Abatete here.

Doing these things will make it easier for readers to navigate through Wikivoyage and find the atticles that you have created. Please do this for Agulu, Achina, and any other articles that you have created. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 03:35, 22 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks I will input that immedately Adimora chidinma (talk) 06:36, 22 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
