Welcome
[edit]Hello! Thank you for your contributions. Welcome to Wikivoyage. I hope that you'll keep sharing information with fellow travellers through this project.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines, style, and basic stuff like how to edit a page.
If you need help, post a question in the Arrivals lounge. Ground Zero (talk) 18:10, 15 October 2025 (UTC)

Formatting
[edit]Thank you for your excellent work so far. In Wikivoyage we use standard time and date formats to make it easier for travellers to find information. Here are some key points from that policy (WV:Time):
- Use one of these formats: 09:30–17:00 or 9:30AM–5PM. Do not use both 24- and 12-hour formats within one article. Choose between formats by following predominant local usage, e.g., 12-hour format in the UK, US, English Canada; 24-hour format in Europe, Quebec, most of Asia and Latin America. Check the formatting box at the top of the talk page of the country, e.g, Talk:United Kingdom.
24-hour format:
- Use 00:00 for midnight and 12:00 for noon.
12-hour format:
- Use upper case "AM" and "PM".
- Use noon and midnight, not 12PM and 12AM.
Days of the week:
- Abbreviate to the minimum number of letters – M Tu W Th F Sa Su – in lists and where space is short.
- When combining days with time, put the days first: M–F 10AM–2PM, not 10AM–2PM M–F.
Thanks for your cooperation and for your contributions.
When you add an address to a listing tgat is in the city or town the article is about, do not repeat the city name. For example, if your listing is in Canaries, the address should not repeat "Canaries, Saint Lucia", which is already at the top of the article.
Also, Wikivoyage doesn't use Google Maps codes, just geographic coordinates which place listings on our own maps. Thanks again, Ground Zero (talk) 21:54, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
