Welcome
[edit]
Hi,
Thanks for all your good work on Minneapolis/Eat Street. Unfortunately I have put it up for deletion because we don't usually have articles on individual streets, but usually on larger areas. I could of course be wrong... Please add any comments about this on the Project:Votes for deletion page. -- (WT-en) DanielC 08:15, 29 August 2006 (EDT)
I've reverted some of your edits to the Windsor article and a few other user's edits. I'm confused about your edits, though. Is there a particular reason why you decoded the listings on the article? Those listings, greatly improved the consistency of manual of style and overall look of the guide and decoding several of the listings throw off the look, in my opinion. -- (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 00:55, 6 September 2006 (EDT)
Try again now, please. --(WT-en) Jonboy 12:40, 26 March 2008 (EDT)
Hey, thanks for fixing the Alcatraz listing per MoS at Fisherman's Wharf...looks better now! (WT-en) Asterix 15:24, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
San Francisco
[edit]I want to thank you for everything you've done to format the listings on the San Francisco district articles. The level of care you've put into it, fixing all those listings, just amazes me, so thank you. :) (WT-en) PerryPlanet 13:21, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
- Ditto, impressive work! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 17:21, 30 August 2008 (EDT)

Brooklyn districts
[edit]A big thanks for the districting work you are doing! I've been meaning to help out too, although I've been distracted lately by the London cotm. I'll be sure to pitch in what I can once I have more time. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 16:47, 11 December 2009 (EST)
IATA vs. ICAO
[edit]Hi, Eco84. Directing your attention to a thread at the Pub: Project:Travellers' pub#IATA vs. ICAO. Thanks! (WT-en) LtPowers 18:42, 26 January 2010 (EST)
Thanks
[edit]Hey. I just want to thank you for your efforts in implementing routebox navigation. I've done quite a bit of it myself, and I know how tedious it can be sometimes, so your work is well appreciated! Cheers! (WT-en) Texugo 02:27, 1 March 2010 (EST)
Major/Minor destination
[edit]On closer examination of what you're doing, I'd like to ask you to please always include 2 destinations in each directions, if there are two. If both of them are actually major destinations, put the closer one in the minor slot and bold it. For guidelines or more info please review Project:Routebox navigation. Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work! (WT-en) Texugo 09:56, 1 March 2010 (EST)
IsPartOf changes
[edit]Hi, Eco84. Changes such as this one should be completely unnecessary; why did you make it? (WT-en) LtPowers 09:43, 17 November 2010 (EST)
- No, IsPartOf was created explicitly so that we didn't need the underscores, which IsIn requires. =) To fix the breadcrumbs, you have to start higher up in the hierarchy and purge the cache, working your way back down. Like to fix the breadcrumbs on, say, Buffalo (New York), you'd have to start by purging Mid-Atlantic (or higher or lower in the hierarchy), then New York (state), then Niagara Frontier, and then Buffalo. (WT-en) LtPowers 20:54, 17 November 2010 (EST)
You didn't fill in any destinations for the 495 routebox. Do you happen to know what they are? (WT-en) Texugo 00:22, 21 December 2010 (EST)
- Thanks! (WT-en) Texugo 01:07, 21 December 2010 (EST)
Houston Routebox Changes
[edit]Hello there. I just noticed around Dec. 7th you changed the routebox info for I-10 between Houston and Beaumont, Texas to include Baytown. I also noticed on I-45 (between Houston and Dallas) you changed Corsicana to Mustang. I was just wondering why? (WT-en) Army of me 21:10, 3 February 2011 (EST)
- Actually maybe I figured it out; I'm guessing you added in the next closest city on those highways that had a Wikivoyage article created. Am I right? (WT-en) Army of me 21:14, 3 February 2011 (EST)
Glacier border towns
[edit]Thanks for the route cleanups on some of the Glacier National Park border towns. While creating those articles and moving some listings over the weekend I was acutely aware that "town" is a very relative term in this case, but given the precedent of moving listings that aren't within the actual park borders for Yosemite National Park and other parks I'm hoping this cleanup will reduce some of the spammy listings we've gotten in the main national park article, and keep the focus of that article on the park and not on the myriad hotels and restaurants that do business around it. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 12:21, 26 April 2011 (EDT)
Montréal
[edit]Great work on the districts in Montréal, that was long overdue. Maybe the districts discussion could be revived completely? --(WT-en) globe-trotter 15:20, 22 October 2011 (EDT)
Chicago updates
[edit]A huge thank you from me for your recent and diligent Chicago updates! One very small thing I wanted to point out, though, is that price ranges should be $5-10, not $5-$10, and times should be noon-8PM, not 12-8PM. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 21:55, 17 April 2012 (EDT)
Routebox barnstar
[edit]Since their introduction the routeboxes have become a hugely useful navigational aid, and filled a hole in Wikivoyage that sorely needed addressing. Your ongoing work with them has been extremely impressive, so in following a long and bizarre wiki tradition, here's a picture of a barnstar to show appreciation. Great job in tackling a tedious but hugely valuable task! -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 12:05, 7 May 2012 (EDT)
- As the one who came up with the original idea for routeboxes, I'd like to second the barnstar. I hope routebox coverage will one day be fairly comprehensive, and you're doing a lot to get us there. Thanks a lot! (WT-en) texugo 17:45, 13 June 2012 (EDT)

thanks
[edit]Hey Eco84, I've noticed your recent edits on Fox Island and Lakebay and I just wanted to say thanks. I'm obviously still learning how it all works and I've never been accused of being a great writer. I'm glad that someone is paying attention! --Lumpytrout (talk) 13:48, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
Minneapolis districts
[edit]Hey, there was a question about the Minneapolis districts, and I figured you would know better than anyone else here how to answer. Care to comment? --Peter Talk 22:30, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
Routebox policy
[edit]Hi, Eco84. You do an amazing amount of work on Routeboxes, but I'm afraid some of your recent edits are in violation of our standards. Please double-check Wikivoyage:Routebox navigation and make sure you're following our guidelines. Specifically, remember that the directional indicators on routeboxes should match the highway signage -- so "SE" and "NW" are not valid directional indicators. Also, redlinks should not be included in routeboxes, as it makes it impossible for a reader to advance along the highway by clicking on the destinations. Thanks for your attention to this matter. LtPowers (talk) 17:14, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, I apologize if I wasn't clear... when I said redlinks shouldn't be included in routeboxes, I meant the cities should be removed entirely from the chain. Simply removing the links is no better than having the redlinks there -- and in fact, may be worse, as they don't become active automatically when the page is created. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me for further clarification. LtPowers (talk) 00:19, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
Mohawk
[edit]As you're the only one who's made any substantial edits to Mohawk in about two years... how do you feel about moving its content to Herkimer and letting the Herkimer page cover the towns nearby, like Mohawk and Ilion? It's going to be hard to write enough about Mohawk to make it a usable article. Apocheir (talk) 00:38, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
According to Wikivoyage:Routebox navigation, the direction to the left of the icon should always be the westernmost or northernmost direction. --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 21:27, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
Thanks

Thanks for helping!
[edit]Eco84, I would like to thank you for helping with the Port St. Lucie and Palm City articles in regards to routes through each city. Thank you especially about the I-95 and Turnpike routes and revising the route to what it actually is. Thank you very much!
I wish you the best, -Donny (talk) 22:43, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi Eco, which is the tool that you use to update the page in the subject? I'd like to have a similar page on it:voy as well. Thanks, --Andyrom75 (talk) 08:31, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
- I've always just updated that page manually whenever I come across a disambiguation page that doesn't have a link on it. Eco84 (talk) 10:55, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
- OMG! Congratulation for your patience :-D I hoped that you did it with a tool to replicate the activity. Thanks anyway for your kind answer. --Andyrom75 (talk) 15:07, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
Fort Frances
[edit]I notice you changed Fort Frances#Get in to use Ontario Highway 17, the Trans-Canada Highway mainline through Kenora. I don't think 17 goes to Fort Frances? K7L (talk) 19:32, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
- Fixed, thanks for alerting me. Eco84 (talk) 15:01, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Cavendish
[edit]I'm a bit unsure about changing Cavendish to a disambiguation. Usually, if a pair of destinations have the same name but one is more notable – for instance Manhattan (Kansas) vs. some silly little place in New York County – the major destination gets to be the main entry and a hatnote points from that article to the other. I'd listed Cavendish (PEI) as the main entry because it's famous for Anne of Green Gables in literary tourism. The other one is an Australian rural community with 454 people and a few sheep. Not much to see or do other than a local walking trail. K7L (talk) 02:53, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hmm, I didn't really take the Anne of Green Gables angle into account and disambiguated Cavendish since they're both small towns (it's also disambiguated on WP, granted we don't always follow their disambiguation standards). At any rate it's no big deal to me if you want to change it back. Eco84 (talk) 11:23, 21 May 2017 (UTC)
Interstate Highway 14
[edit]I do want to thank you for your Routebox edit in Killeen, and I admit that removing US 190 completely was premature action. Saying that, would it not be a good idea to still maintain I-14 as a third highway chain in the Routebox? This route is planned to extend from Killeen all the way to Georgia in the east. Thank you for your input here, as well as some of the other routeboxes I have been working on. Americannomad1776 (talk) 16:32, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
