Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, CarlessParking! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

Thanks for all your helpful edits!

All the best, and Merry Christmas if you're celebrating. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:56, 25 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Adding location info, etc.

[edit]

Thanks again for all you do! I hope you're planning to add at least location information, and preferably also contact and other information to the name of the eatery you added to the Cainta guide. Mere names are pretty useless. It's best to use Wikivoyage:Listings templates, adding what you can and leaving blank what you can't.

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:21, 19 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

And similarly, when you add the names of festivals, please state what time of year they happen. @CarlessParking, please reply, so I know you're reading this page, and thanks for all you do! Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:10, 23 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
yes I will. CarlessParking (talk) 04:13, 23 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Pio Duran#See is another example: mere names with no location information. When do you plan on adding that? Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:49, 25 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, User:CarlessParking. Thank you for your contributions to Wikivoyage. When you add listings, like you did in Libon, please use all fields in the Wikivoyage:Listings template, and do not delete blank fields. The "lastedit" field in particularly important for letting readers know that the information is current in 2026, and wasn't added in 2006, for example. Also, unkess you have added at least one listing that has either lat/long coordinates or a wikidata code, the map doesn't show anything. Please don't add a map to an article until there is a listing with that information. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 12:03, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Why didn't you use a listing template here? Ground Zero (talk) 03:31, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

@CarlessParking: if you refuse to edit according to Wikivoyage style, should I just revert your edits? Ground Zero (talk) 13:15, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Okay. I'll do that then. You can restore it if you use the full template. Ground Zero (talk) 02:06, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
@CarlessParking: I have done the same at Oas. Please use the full templates instead of wasting your time and mine. Ground Zero (talk) 03:50, 8 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
@CarlessParking, BroBrother: I gave given you enough chances. Because you continue to ignore the advice you gave been given, in the Malinao article, I am blocking you from editing for three days. If you continue in this fashion, the blocks will last longer. Ground Zero (talk) 04:04, 9 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
For transparency purposes, this block has been mirrored on Bakasakali as well. //shb (t | c | m) 04:20, 9 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

@CarlessParking: I will continue to remove your contributions as long as you refuse to contribute constructively. Ground Zero (talk) 09:47, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Use of multiple accounts

[edit]

A checkuser investigation I've carried out indicates that the relationship between your account (CarlessParking (talk · contribs)), Brobrother (talk · contribs) and Bakasakali (talk · contribs) is confirmed. Not likely, but a 100% match. My question to you is why? Sockpuppets are not explicitly banned on the English Wikivoyage per WV:SOCK, but what benefit do you have from using multiple accounts? It not only makes it tedious for other users to communicate effectively for you, but I cannot imagine a world in which logging out and logging back into different account makes it easier for you either.

I'm not going to block any of your accounts right now, but going forward, could you please stick to using just one account? Which account you want to use going forward is your call, but once you do, please stick to that account.

(cc @Ground Zero, Pashley:)

Lastedit field on templates

[edit]

Do not leave this field put of templates as you did on this edit and thos edit. This field is important as some of the information in Wikivoyage was added as far back as 2003. The lastedit field tells the reader that this information is current. Please correct your work. Ground Zero (talk) 01:17, 19 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
